Forward Friday.. The Encouragement Series #2.. Attitude... Celebration... Momentum Moments 2024

"I'm so proud of you", were the words my trainer and one of my training partners said as we have been working towards better health and fitness goals!

The power of being positive and displaying a good attitude towards others really matters!

I am always amazed at how some people do not realize how much attitude plays out in our everyday lives.

Forward Friday takes a positive spin on attitude and how it can make the difference in someone's life! We also look at celebration and how we can be better cheerleaders for those around us! Life can and should be exciting as we link ourselves in a positive manner with others!! And as always, there is Good News Medicine at the end!!

Let's Get Into This!!

So much is made of a bad attitude but we rarely talk about the benefits of a great attitude.

We can affect incredible change by having an attitude and defacto personality that people would want to be around!!!

Click on the video below to catch today's Forward Friday Good News Post!!!

Encouragement Improves Our Attitude.

I've rarely if ever felt bad when I've been encouraged.

On the contrary, many times, it has spurred me on to move forward in whatever area and direction I am going in.

Encouragement, in it's make up just screams that it wants to make us feel better, and as my dad would say, "It puts a jump in my step and a smile on our face!"

We know that when the attitude is better, there is better health, we are more content, more life, more hope, more positive thinking begins to occur.

Who wouldn't want to pass this along to someone who needs it?

Some Good News Medicine To Kick Off The Weekend!!

We talked about Barnabas in last week's post and the difference he made in the lives of the believers he came into contact with.

One of the attributes that Barnabas had that just screamed out loud was his ability to celebrate and encourage the people with his upbeat, exciting attitude!

He wasn't celebrating his wins but he was full steam ahead, cheerleading theirs and was happy about doing that.

Who needs the one who is jealous of the wins in our lives when the goal should be of mutual encouragement and excitement for the one who reason to celebrate?

We want others to celebrate our wins so why not do the same? It just makes sense.

Encouraging People Can Celebrate Others!!

In the middle section of Acts11 verse 23, it says that Barnabas “was glad and encouraged them…”

Another translation says that Barnabas “threw himself in with them” and “got behind them.” Who are we getting behind? Who are we cheering on, celebrating, encouraging, pushing to new levels?

There should be someone(s) and if not, let's start looking in our circles of how we can encourage and celebrate others!

The account of Barnabas's celebratory attitude just exudes gladness, joy and celebration.

It's what I see in the life of Barnabas. He and so many others were blown away by what God was doing, the people were doing in their time and place.

There was passion, enthusiasm and excitement.

Why do we need encouragement? Sometimes, in the walk of life, even if we're faithful and true to what it is we're doing, there are times when we get tired, we may get down, we may feel like we're just treading water......

To have someone in our corner cheering us on can make all the difference.

If God is the God of all joy, than it should give us cause to celebrate, to be filled with joy and that attitude can spark a flame in others because joy is contagious!!

The Bible says that the Joy of the Lord is our strength so let us grow in that strength this weekend!

Let the attitude of Joy give us cause to be celebratory people and would it be so that we are contagious to those around us for good!!

Dave
