On The Road To Easter! Good Friday Is Here! Grace For Every Moment Forward Friday Thoughts……

We are here! It’s Good Friday and while it was a gloomy day 2000 plus years ago, this day also signified grace! The grace that was shown on a cross was for all of mankind to receive such a wonderful gift and in turn, show and extend grace because we have received such a wonderful gift.

I don’t know about you but it seems as though we are in short supply of grace and we sure do need it! In every area of our lives, society, world, we need grace!

This year of a pandemic or virus or whatever else we want to call it has taken a lot of prisoners so to speak.

We have become prisoners to frustration, hopelessness, fear, not knowing what is true or false, when is this going to end and the list can go on…..

So as we march along into the spring, we need to, among other things up the grace content. With so many people seemingly in short supply of showing grace to others and for so many of us, we show little grace to ourselves at times, we need it desperately.

So this Forward Friday is all about grace because we were shown ultimate grace on Easter weekend on an old rugged cross and Easter Sunday signified that we can trust that grace freely poured out to us!

When I Think About Grace, These 2 Thoughts Come To Mind.

Grace generally suggests a calm and pleasing way of being, or a gracious, kind, courteous and thoughtful way of living or conducting our lives.

Grace is also "the love and mercy given to us by God because God wishes us to have it, not necessarily because of anything we have done to earn it". It is not a created substance of any kind. ..

I’ve put together a collection of Grace quotes for the many different moments of life. May they encourage us not only this Easter Weekend but help us as we walk into the future no matter how the road twists and turns.

“The grace of the spirit comes only from heaven, and lights up the whole bodily presences.” – Charles Haddon Spurgeon

“Grace does not depend on what we have done for God but rather what God has done for us. Ask people what they must do to get to heaven and most reply, “Be good.” Jesus’ stories contradict that answer. All we must do is cry, “Help!”” – Philip Yancey

May these “Grace” thoughts help you not only during this Easter weekend but in the days, weeks, months to come!

Happy Easter and it’s a pleasure walking on the Road To Easter with you!
